Retirement Plans

What's included with Fruit of the Vine Financial's retirement plan services?
We work with you to determine which type of retirement plan best suits your needs and those of your business, and we help you through the set-up process. Common types of retirement plans for businesses include a SEP, SIMPLE, 401(k), Solo 401(k), or Safe Harbor 401(k). If needed, we provide ongoing fiduciary advisory services after the plan is up and running. For a 401(k) or Safe Harbor 401(k), this includes service as either a 3(21) or 3(38) fiduciary. Ongoing service includes quarterly plan investment analysis with results reported to the 401(k) plan sponsor.

Can Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) funds be included as an investment choice in a 401(k) plan?
Yes. If the business owner/plan sponsor desires, BRI funds can be included among the list of funds available for plan participants to choose from. BRI fund choices will not automatically be included in the fund lineup and will be added only at the request of the plan sponsor. These funds would not replace any general funds, but would simply be an addition to the lineup. We aim to provide all plan participants with suitable plan investment choices.

How much does Fruit of the Vine Financial charge to help set up a retirement plan and/or provide ongoing fiduciary advisory services?
We charge a flat fee to help set up the plan and a separate flat rate for ongoing advisory services if needed. The rate varies depending on the size of the plan, the type of plan selected, and the complexity of the plan. All fees will be discussed ahead of time, presented in a written proposal, and confirmed by contractual agreement before service starts.
For a 401(k) or Safe Harbor 401(k) plan, which are subject to ERISA, two levels of fiduciary advisory services are available: 3(21) plan consulting services, or 3(38) plan management services.
